Drybrook were without a lot of regulars for this long trip to Trimsaran but they just did enough to emerge victorious.
It was a typical first outing of the season with plenty of mistakes from both teams as the wet conditions made handling difficult.
Tom Treherne and James Gahan were the Drybrook try scorers with Gahan’s effort coming from a dropped Trimsaran ball on half way which he gathered before showing the Welshmen a clean pair of heels.
Treherne made the game safe for Drybrook with 2 penalties to add to his two conversions.
The match was sponsored by DBS Building Services Wales who provided the trophy for the match (pictured right) which was last contested in 2008.
