Drybrook Ladies 39pts
Oxford Harlequins Ladies 0pts

Drybrook Ladies started their season with a huge win over Oxford Harlequins, coming away with a clean sheet at 39-0.

The ladies went 15-0 up within the 1st 15 minutes of the game with our 1st try coming from Ceri Large who drove her way over the line. This was followed quickly by a 2nd that came from 3 penalties with Chloe Wakefield taking the 3rd penalty quickly to put Stevie Liddiatt over the white wash.
The 3rd try was from a kick that was superbly

chased down by Millie Purser who popped the ball to Ceri for her 2nd try of the game.
At this point the game settled down with the ladies from Oxford finding their stride and holding us to finish out the 1st half.
The ladies started the second half with the same mindset as the first, coming away with 4 tries.
The first was from Mackenna Brace who received the ball from a magnificent breakaway by Millie. Ceri followed this with a solo break to go over the whitewash alone to score her 3rd try of the game.
The next try came from one of our debutants Becky Jones who finished a number of phases from a 5m scrum with Chanise Beard converting. Our final try was scored by another of our debutants Megan Butler who squirreled her way over the whitewash following a breakaway from Ceri. This was converted by Mackenna.
Oxford Harlequins never let their heads drop and although they didn’t put any points on the board they kept working until the final whistle. However in the end it was experience that won the day.
