At long last, rugby has returned to The Mannings, with Thornbury arriving for a trial game. It’s seems an eternity since we have had a game at the Manning’s and it was great to see the Green Army back in action.

This pre season friendly was played out in front of a packed house and the players will be pleased to have gotten through their first full contact encounter since they played Exeter a season and a half ago.
The Drybrook scrum started well and put the visitors under pressure while the backs showed good hands and plenty of pace out behind.
The game was divided into three thirds and Drybrook held the upper hand for the most of it, though Thornbury showed plenty of grit in defence and scored a deserved try of their own.
Drybrook scored two try’s through Sam Peaper with Tom Treherne adding a conversion
It was good to see all the lads playing yesterday especially Danny Griffiths who had flown over from Dubai for the occasion.
