Nat West Day once again proved to be a great success with the emphasis this year on tidying up in and around the clubhouse.
With volunteers thin on the ground the effort put in by the few was amazing.
Danger money had to be paid to the President’s roof team but he himself stayed firmly on terra firma, his biggest achievement being putting things in the skip without Roger Hale noticing.
With bacon rolls supplied for breakfast and burgers to follow later in the day, the biggest surprise was seeing the Chairman with a cup of coffee in his hand.
This was rectified later as all volunteers enjoyed a beer or two , social distancing of course.
