Drybrook United set to join RFU league structure in 2020/21 Season

Champions elect Drybrook United are set to enter into the new league structure.

The GRFU have announced the proposed league structure for Level 8 and below for 2020-21 season with the inclusion of 2nd XVs.
The proposed new Leagues will see Drybrook’s second string placed in Wadworth Gloucestershire 1 North.

Drybrook United will be looking forward to the new season following their likely crowning as Wadworths District Premier League champions following the curtailment of the league due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The proposal will see three club second teams enter into Wadworth Gloucestershire 1 North

with Chosen Hill II and Old Centralians II joining Drybrook II amongst a division containing 12 teams.

Most notable of the proposed opponents in the division is Berry Hill. The two fixtures between the sides are sure to produce large crowds as local derbies always do.

Before we all get too excited, it is worth noting that this is still a “proposal” and nothing is yet set in stone. And until the thorny issue of relegation and promotion within the current leagues is confirmed we should take nothing for granted.
