Drybrook Girls: U15s and U13s away at Chipping Sodbury.

Drybrook U15 Girls fell behind during the first half but came back strongly during the second period.

Drybrook U15 Girls

Drybrook U15 Girls showed great improvement away from home as they played what was a very fast and physical side at Chipping Sodbury. The first half clearly did not go Drybrooks way despite being the first on the score board with a try from Tehana Havers. Chipping Sodbury scored 4 try’s making the half time score 24-5 to the home side. The second half kicked off and Drybrook was first to score again through Courtney Webber followed shortly after by a try from Alisha Smith. Unfortunately it was too little too late for Drybrook even with a second try for both Tehana and Courtney as Chipping Sodbury scored a further 19 points to secure their victory 43-25.

Player of the match went to Tehana Havers who not only scored two tries but carried hard throughout the whole match.

Drybrook U13 Girls

Drybrook U13 Girls travelled to Chipping sodbury with a depleted squad with some great players missing such as Hattie, Kiera, Ruby, Lexi, Lillie, Evie, Harlee, Fern and Fenya.
Undeterred Dry U13’S turned up at Chipping sodbury with a new face in the team (Courtney) and took to the pitch looking confident and it showed from the kick off as Drybrook dominated, it wasn’t long before the first try went over, then the second went over, then the next and the next.
Drybrook kept a great defensive line, as hard as Chipping sodbury tired they could not break through with some huge tackles being put in all over the park by Drybrook.
At half time we offered to mix the teams up but Chipping sodbury wanted to prove a point and carry on. Unfortunately for Chipping sodbury, Drybrook had a different idea, the second half was much the same as the first with a extremely dominant Drybrook.
Unfortunately we lost track of the score by the end, so the score was Drybrook “yups”- 0 Chipping sodbury.

Player of the Match for her Amazing all round performance and selfless passing for her team mates to score, goes to Courtney.
