Drybrook took a large squad of 2nd & 3rd Xv players to take on local rivals Newent.
Newent were first on the scoresheet as Drybrook were on the attack a good read on a miss pass was intercepted and the Newent centre sped in from the Drybrook 10 which was converted.
Drybrook were next on the scoresheet after several good phases from the forwards led to Craig Moore crashing over out wide, shortly after an overlap was created for full back Rhys Gardner.
Newent came back with a try of their own as Drybrook tried to over play in their own 22.

Next up to score was winger Luke Roberts who beat several defenders to score in the corner. The try was converted by Andy Milner.
This brought up the half time whistle.

The second half kicked off with both sides trying to play a quick flowing game.
Following a break from Mitch Bourne the ball was moved out wide for the Luke Roberts to get his second of the game.
Newent were then next on the scoreboard as an attempted box kick to the corner was gathered by the Newent wing who beat the cover defence and score.
Newent reduced the deficit even further after creating an overlap to score.

Drybrook made a raft of changes, debuts being made by Dave Stewart, Shane Childs and Kane Fellows.
Further scores followed for Drybrook with Roberts touching down for a hat trick and two for Ben “Tanker” Casey.
This was a positive run out for Drybrooks mixed squad, with special mention to the Jackson twins, Matt & Craig, Iain Murphy and Kane Fellows that donned the Newent Green that kept the game 15 aside.

Next week the 2s host Old Patesians 2s in the Wadworth District Premier division with the 3s travelling to face Minchinhampton 2s in a Wadworth Gloucester & District 2 fixture.
