Former Colt leads Twickenham triumph

Former Drybrook Junior and Colts player Will Biggs recently captained Hartpury University First Team in the BUCS Super Rugby Final at Twickenham against Leeds Beckett University.

Will scored the opening try for Hartpury in a hard fought match with a final score of 45-27 to Hartpury. He plays in the front row at the position of Hooker (number 2).

Hartpury University proved too strong for Leeds Beckett University as they secured their third consecutive BUCS Super Rugby Championship title with a first half dream performance.

The team from Leeds fought back in the second half but were unable to find a way past the disciplined Hartpury defence.

Will went to school at Ashfield Park Primary School and John Kyrle High School, where he lead the school rugby team and captained them on a school tour to Canada. He then progressed to adult rugby with his brother, Tom, at Worcester Wanderers.

Will is leaving Hartpury at the end of this term, where he has been studying his degree in Sports Business, and he will be concentrating on running his own business, MatchDayInfo, a Sports based App.
