Drybrook Rugby Club are pleased to announce that a new President has been elected and that person is none other than the ever-popular Chris Tingle who is taking over from long serving club stalwart Gerald Ward who stood down at the recent AGM.
Chris has played over 866 games for the club making him the 2nd most capped person in the club’s great history behind Roger Hale. His first senior appearance being in 1978/79 at the age of 15 with his debut for the 1sts coming the following season against Wiveliscombe away in 1979/80. Chris went on to play 323 games for the 1sts and captained the Club in 1987/88.
Always a great supporter of the club, Chris has been a one-man club for nearly 50 years and after so many years serving in numerous capacities is looking forward to his new role

with great enthusiasm and was absolutely overwhelmed and honoured to have been asked to take on the Presidency.
It will be a hard task following Gerald who is a Life Member and served as President for 16 years. He is another who has served the club impeccably for over 65 years and which Drybrook are truly grateful for.
Everyone at Drybrook wishes Chris great success in his role and he will be straight into action this weekend helping to paint the mini/junior changing rooms and running the touchline at Abergavenny…. What a man.
Chris will be officially announced on the 18th August during a night of festivities at the clubhouse following the game between Drybrook and Cinderford.
Good Luck Chris!
