County U7s Tournament – Painswick RFC – 8th April 2018

What a great day was had at a very well organised county U7s tournament at Painswick RFC.
With Drybrook fielding two teams at this event it meant that the players had a lot more game time, but this kept the coaches really busy going from one pitch to the other almost immediately.
With all of this game time we did wonder if these little players would be OK but how they proved they would, with both sides playing some of the best Rugby that we have seen all season
Both attack and defence was working really well with every player crossing the try line more than once.
The passing and offloading was great with some really excellent tagging.
Each and every player showed great teamwork and respect and all thoroughly enjoyed their day.
The discipline and sportsmanship of these players was brilliant as hit every point of the RFU TREDS which we strive to achieve.
What a wonderful group of players we have had the privilege of coaching this year. We have been really impressed with the improvement shown from the start of the
.
A special mention must go to Paul Hornchurch who had to step in and cover my refereeing duties (due to crutches and a cast) as well as his own.
Thanks to everyone for today.
