Rising Star Brad back from Gloucester Academy

Drybrook RFC has yet another talented rugby player rising through their ranks.
Drybrook U16s Scrum half Brad Morgan has just returned from a week long residential camp at Wellington College, Berkshire, after being selected for the Gloucester Academy’s U16s squad.
Brad is the only player from the Forest of Dean that is part of the Academy and one of only 30 players from Gloucestershire in the Gloucester Academy to make it through to the Wellington college festival.
He is the first player from Drybrook to play at the prestigious Wellington College festival and one of only a few hundred boys from all of the premiership academies across the whole of the country.
During the week he played against other premiership academies in inter academy games, – playing Harlequins, Worcester, Yorkshire Carnegie and then finishing with a win over Bristol.
As well the inter team games he also had coaching from premiership players – a session with Saracens scrum half Richard Wigglesworth being a highlight of the week.
Drybrooks 1st team captain and U16s coach Ben Large, said “this is an absolute amazing achievement for Brad, and everyone at Drybrook is very very proud of him. He is a really talented player and so deserves being part of the Gloucester U16s Academy for all the hard work and commitment he puts in”.
