Drybrook RFC hosts the annual primary schools tag tournament
Westbury on Severn Primary school was this years winner of the Dene Magna/Primary schools yr 5/6 rugby tag tournament. The final games were held at Drybrook RFC under floodlights on Wednesday 5th December, that saw Westbury lift the trophy. Dene Magna School teams up with Drybrook RFC every year, and Drybrook hosts the tournament for year 5 and year 6 pupils from the Dene Magna feeder schools. This year pupils from Drybrook, Ruardean, Mitcheldean, Walmore Hill and Westbury schools played several matches hosted at Drybrook RFC. All pupils played some great rugby and they loved the chance to play under floodlights at the rugby club. The winning team was presented with the winners trophy and all players in the winning Westbury squad received a medal and a certificate. The club is really pleased with the strong links they have with Dene Magna and the local primary schools.
