There was disappointment all round when the Drybrook
Ladies team were edged out of the Senior Team of the Year
award at this year’s Gloucestershire Sports Awards evening.
Selected for the final three in the category was an achievement
in itself but the award went to the Abbeymead Rovers walking
football team.
The event held at Cheltenham racecourse was attended by a
host of Gloucestershire’s finest and included Gloucester
Rugby’s Gareth Evans and BBC sports presenter John Inverdale.
