Drybrook Rugby Club

St Marys Old Boys kicked off away from the club Chantel Lewis caught a high ball and carried strong into contact.

On the 11th minute Ellie underwood managed to get hands on the ball and glided around the outside of SMOB to get the first score on the board for Drybrook.

15 minutes in Shelley Bourne took a knee with an injury to her lower back and Jess Hunt came on to replace her. On the 21st minute Jess had a pick and go from the back of the scrum 30 meters away from SMOB goal line weaved in and out to score to the far right.

With just 8 minutes left to play of the first half SMOB answered back with a try out on the left.

On the 33rd minute Stevie Liddiatt scooped up a stray ball just 10 meters from SMOB’s line and carried three defenders over the line to score a well-earned try under the posts. Ellie converted to give Drybrook the lead 17 -5. Just on the final play of the first half Drybrook was awarded a

penalty on the half way, Kat Brain took the quick tap and passed wide to Ellie Underwood who managed to once again get around the outside of SMOB’s defence taking Drybrook into the break with a 24-5 lead.

With three replacements at half time saw Karina Hall, Olivia Pritchard and Helen Goode replace Natasha Kibble, Chantel Lewis and Lauren Hill.

The second half started pretty much the same as the first half ended with Ellie crossing the SMOB white wash within just 6 minutes increasing the lead to 29-5.

Shortly after the 20th minute Jess hunt who was now playing on the wing received the ball out wide and with her strong running managed to make the 30 meter dash to the line to increase Drybrook’s lead to 34-5.

With just two minutes left to play until the full time whistle SMOB crossed the Drybrook line to make the final score 34-10.
