Club to become Centre of Excellence for Girl’s rugby.
Drybrook Rugby Club has been selected by Gloucestershire.R.F.U to become the first centre of excellence for girl’s rugby. Drybrook will be the base for players in the north of the county with other centres being set up in Bristol and Cirencester.
Training programmes for girls in the county at under 13s ,15s and 18s are set to run on Friday evenings from 14th October at 7pm.
Players from all clubs will be invited to attend the coaching sessions at the club which will be run by a team of GRFU coaching staff.
The scheme is designed to provide a platform for identifying gifted and talented individuals and to provide them with the training and skills to guide them on the pathway to district, county and even international level.
This is a great honour and achievement for Drybrook RFC and is just reward for all those individuals who have put so much time and energy into making the girls rugby section such a success.
The Mannings is ready to welcome the girls!!!!
