Topsham are currently second from bottom in South west One but were going to be no walkover.
They have had some difficult times lately since the loss of their hooker through repeated head injuries early on in the season and are just starting to come back together as a team.
After a long journey down Drybrook had little time to prepare for the game ahead and a delay from the referee turning up 15 minutes late managed to cause disruption to the team.
However the game kicked off at 2:15 and within 10 minutes Ellie Underwood found space and scored under the posts adding the conversion to give Drybrook the lead 0 – 7.
From the restart Jess Hunt caught the ball on her own 22 and managed to get within 5 meters of Topsham’s try line before getting tackled but a bit of work from the away side ensured that Ellie managed to score her second try of the game also converting to make the score 0 – 14 to Drybrook.
