Drybrook ladies were host to North Petherton in a south west one league clash. Unfortunately the away side arrived late only allowing ten minutes for a warm up.
Superstitiously Drybrook ladies would play away from the club house, however after losing the toss Drybrook were forced into playing towards the clubhouse against the wind.
Just thirteen minutes in some great hands from a very determined Drybrook back line lead to Hannah Meek crossing the white wash to score the first try of the match.
Ellie Underwood added the extras giving Drybrook a 7 – 0 lead.
From the restart Ellie Underwood caught the ball and started to weave in and out of the Petherton defence then scored under the posts converting to increase the lead to 14 – 0.
Just three minutes later Ellie scored once again from great hands this time slightly out of range for the kick increasing the lead to 19 – 0.
Drybrook now looked very strong indeed however despite numerous attacks no further score was made until the 30th minute when Julie Ann Norbury crashed over the line.
