Drybrook U14s 64pts
Chew Valley U14s 0pts

Sunday 22nd March saw Drybrook U14s play a touring team from Somerset, Chew Valley. After a couple of losses in recent weeks, a heavy defeat at the hands of Ledbury and another to Coney Hill, Drybrook recovered some form to beat Chew Valley by 64 point to nil.

Lucas Gardner began the ‘try-fest’ in the first minute when he broke from 30 metres out to score between the posts. Rohan Parry and Jay Fellows followed with scores at five and seven minutes in. Brad Morgan scored a try on the ten minute mark before Parry and Fellows followed up with their second tries. It was 38 points to nil at half time, three conversions were made by Parry and one by Morgan.

The second half began in a similar vein, Ellis Peacey got on the score sheet after three minute before Jay Fellows scored his third and hat-trick try a minute or so later. Jack Worgan converted both. There was a lull in the scoring broken by Brad Morgan who jinked through the defence to deliver his second try ten minutes later – he converted it himself. Just before the final whistle Worgan chipped the behind the defence and try line for Kieran Mahoney to pounce on and finish the scoring.
