Gordano 5pts
With three league matches left to play, the last home game of the season and a battle for the top spot Drybrook ladies who have been on quite a journey were facing Gordano Ladies in a double header. The results would stand as a home and away score so Drybrook were very keen indeed to come away with a win. Drybrook Ladies have not lost a home match this season and were not prepared to start now.
The game was kicked off by Gordano playing towards the clubhouse with no wind the conditions were perfect for a good hard game of rugby.
Drybrook forwards worked hard to provide a good platform after several phases Kat Brain got the ball out along the backs an Ellie Underwood well timed off load lead to Jess Hunt breaking the line and scoring the first try in just under 4 minutes. Ellie underwood converted to make the score 7 – 0 to Drybrook.
Despite the early try Gordano worked very hard indeed and refused to give up. Drybrooks Chaise Beard stole a loose ball from a line out and forwards Stevie Liddiatt, Shelly Bourne, Lucie Smith, Roxanne Carter and Julie Ann Norbury all worked hard to recycle the ball and once again it was time for the backs to move the ball wide. In the 9th minute Sarah Beven had her chance to run with a 30 metre sprint to the line
