Drybrook u18s won the RFU south west north league – they now progress to the next stage on March 8th.
The u15s are waiting to hear if they also progress to the next stage after Cleve girls pulled out of the competition.
On Sunday 11th January all 3 girls teams played home games against Cleve at the Mannings.
In their match the U18s took an early lead but at half time they had slipped behind 14pts to 15pts.
The second half saw the score line further slip after Cleve ran in 3 individual trys.
The final score was 14 -30, Molly Osborne scoring two tries for Drybrook and Maizie Morgan successful with both conversions.
The u15s game started off well with the Drybrook girls much the stronger team. They had the majority of possession and showed they are a side to be reckoned with.
Unfortunately the game had to be stopped well before half time after two girls were injured and ambulances were called.
Both girls were not seriously injured and we wish them both a speedy recovery.
The score before the game was stopped was 21pts to nil with Leah Teague, Shauna Bennett and Katie Jeffery scoring tries and Saska Bowdler kicking the conversions.
The u13s yet again showed they are an amazing team – and stars of the future.
They had another fantastic win – beating Cleve by 17 tries to 8.
The U15s and U18s next games are at Drybrook vs Yatton on 1st February.
