A 2:30pm kick off at the Manning’s ground saw Drybrook ladies take on Devizes Ladies in their first game of 2015.
Within 2 minutes Drybrook’s forwards with a turn over from Lucie Smith had created a strong platform for Kat Brain (captain) to release the back line Sarah Bevan Drybrook’s winger with her strong running fancy footwork and fantastic body angles managed to cross the line for the first try and score under the posts for Ellie Underwood to claim the conversion.
Devizes re started, Chanise Beard secured the ball and the pack started to attack through phase play again and again recycling the ball very well indeed and finally on the 5th minute Steve Lidiatte crashed over for Drybrook’s second try of the match.
13 minutes in Ellie Underwood managed to get around the Devizes defence to score the third try for the home team. Drybrook looking the better side by far was not ready to relax.
On the 18th minute Lucie Smith battled through the Devizes pack to crash over with two players hanging on and score the fourth try for Drybrook.
The supporters on the side line were really getting behind the Drybrook ladies as they were playing out of their skins and every last player was giving everything they had relentlessly.

21 minutes into the first half Marie Grindle with a powerful leg drive managed to drive over the try line to score the fifth try of the game.
Devizes failed to give up and decided to kick the ball straight at Drybrook’s backs this gave chance for Sarah Bevan to have a run once again a fifty meter dash with the odd hand off and fancy footwork meant 23 minutes in Sarah Bevan had scored once again under the posts Ellie Underwood converted meaning the score was now 34 – 0 to Drybrook.
On the 26th minutes a hand in the ruck from Drybrook meant Devises had a chance at goal 20 meters out directly in front of the posts Devizes managed to get points on the board.
With only 2 minutes to go till half time Devizes were defending their line heroically but they was not strong enough for the Drybrook Pack this time it was Sarah Teague that managed to crash over the line for the Seventh try of the game Ellie Underwood made light work of the conversion to add insult to injury.

The second half kicked off and no way was Devizes going to back down they came out

faster and stronger than ever but Drybrook started the second half in the same form they ended the first half with Ellie Underwood breaking the line to score under the posts she added the kick to increase the points by a further seven points.

13 minutes into the second half this time it was Chanise Beard’s turn, Drybrook’s extremely versatile Hooker crashed through the Devizes defence to score yet another well-deserved try for Drybrook Ellie Underwood added the conversion Devizes had no going back from this point.
16 minutes into the Second half it was Ellie Underwood’s turn again with Drybrook’s 10th try of the match she added the conversion to make the score 62 – 03 to Drybrook.
On the 33rd minute of the second half Jess Hunt found a small gap in the Devizes defence and took full advantage making a fast break for the line scoring the 11th and final try of the match Ellie Underwood converted to make the final score 69 -03 to Drybrook.
