The next ten minutes saw four tries scored – one by Old Pats and three by Drybrook backs: flyhalf George Cinderey, fullback Alex Iles and scrum half Rhys Chandler all crossing the line. Rhys converted twice to give the Foresters a 24-8 lead at half time.
Old Pats took advantage of fresh legs and scored first after the break but Alex Iles killed the game off with a trademark break from inside the Drybrook half to score his brace, converted by Rhys. Old Pats tackled well but lacked penetration: Joe Lewis led the Drybrook tackle count while wingers Blaine Harris and Tom Sime supported well.
Although tiring Drybrook dug deep: forwards Will Greenway, Jordan Taylor and Brandon Jacobs in particular battered away until lock Ben Howells capped an excellent debut by crashing over for the final try, rounding off a good result for the under-strength Foresters.
Drybrook squad: Rich Bowkett, Rhys Chandler, George Cinderey, Will Greenway (captain), Blaine Harris, Ben Howells, Alex Iles, Brandon Jacobs, Tyler Jerrum, Joe Lewis, Max Pratten, Huw Rimmer, Adam Rees, Tom Sime, Jordan Taylor and Ashley Wallace.
