Forest of Dean and District Combination Centenary Youth Event

Drybrook are to play hosts for the Forest of Dean and District Combination Centenary Youth Event. The event will take place on December 15th and will involve games at Under 12’s, Under 15’s and Under 16’s levels.

The Under 12’s will be between Drybrook, Cinderford, Ross and Berry Hill. It will be played as a league structure, each game being 10 minutes each way with a 5 minute half time. The games will start at 10.30 a.m. Squads of up to 16 players may be used. Participating clubs are requested to provide referees.

The Under 15’s will be one game between Cinderford and Berry Hill with a k.o.at 2.00 p.m. Squads of up to 20 players may be used.

The Under 16’s will be between Bream, Drybrook and Newent and will again be a league structure with games of 20 minutes each way with a five minute half time. The games will start at 12.30p.m. Squads of up to 20 players may be used.

For the league games, 3 points will be awarded for a win, 2 points for a draw with 1 point for 4 tries and 1 extra point for every further 2 tries. A side that loses within one try of the winner will get 1 point. There will be no conversions for the under 12’s. Otherwise standard laws apply for each age group.

The sides winning the leagues will be presented with trophies. All playing participants will receive centenary medals
