Drybrook Girls in action at last!

Drybrook RFC Girls U13s

On Sunday 20th October Drybrook RFC U13s Girls made the long trip to Exeter Saracens RFC in order to get a long awaited game ! The 11 girl squad played 3 X 15 minutes in what was a very close contest. Drybrook girls played an 8 a side game in order to match Exeters numbers. Drybrook were slow to start and gave Exeter an early advantage but soon stepped up to the mark and made some great tackling and good breaks to give the oppostion some serious concern. The final score ended Drybrook 9 tries to Exeter 13 tries.
As a treat for the long day of travelling and rugby the girls were rewarded with a well deserved McDonalds on the way home!!

Drybrook RFC Girls U18s

Sunday 27th October Drybrook U18 Girls hosted St Marys Old Boys U18s Girls. The heavy rain and wind didn’t stop the girls or spectators enjoying a great game of rugby. Drybrook girls impressed with some excellant driving mauls, good breaks and superb passing. Three girls had their debuts- Tyler Tucker, Bernice Meadows and Rebecca Cooper and all played well. Beth Lawrence was awarded Girl of the Game.
The final score was Drybrook U18s 40 St Marys Old Boys 14.
Drybrooks try scorers were Beth Lawrence (3), Charlotte Pye, Amber Probyn, Hannah Meek, Tyler Tucker and Robyn Hancock.

This Sunday (3rd November) 12 of Drybrooks U18s and U15s are representing the County playing for Gloucestershire V North Midlands at Gordon League RFC – both the U15s and uU18s games Kick off at 1pm.
