Girls Section end of season presentations

Nearly 50 girls gathered together for Drybrook RFC Girls section end of season presentation day.

Ex England Womens captain, Gill Burns MBE, presented the girls with their awards as guest of honour on the day.

U13’s player of the year – Saska Bowdler.
U13’s most improved player – Paige Fletcher.

U15’s player of the year – Natalie Pye
U15’s most improved player – April Vanston.

U18’s player of the year – Robyn Hancock
U18’s most improved player – Chloe Fisher

County Honours
U18’s Gloucestershire County Representative medals were awarded to – Maizie Morgan and Chanise Beard.

U15’s Gloucestershire County Representative medals were awarded to – Natalie Pye, Bethany Lawrence, Bryony Edwards, Ashleigh Wintle, Amber Probyn, April Vanston and Chloe Wakefield.

U18’s Somerset County Representative medals were awarded to – Robyn hancock and Charlotte Pye.

Girls Section Manager Mandy Meredith was awarded the mini/junior sections ‘Dave Roberts memorial trophy’ for Volunteer of the year award. Mandy was presented the award by Jenny Roberts.

U13’s Girls player Hannah Roberts was awarded with the young volunteer of the year award for her dedication and committment to helping out with junior and senior jobs within Drybrook RFC.

It has been an amazing season for girls rugby at Drybrook and all of the girls and parents were thanked for their part in making Drybrook RFC Girls Section a real success story. Every single girl recieved a 2012/13 season medal for playing rugby throughout the year.
