Girls Section End of Season Ball

Drybrook RFC Girls Section held their first End of Season Ball on Friday 25th May.
The Rugby club was decorated in the girls colours of purple and green, with balloons,
table cloths, table decorations, treats and bubbles all co-ordinating in with the theme!

Over 40 girls attended the ball and England’s Ceri Large, was guest of honour. The girls
sat down to a 3 course meal cooked by Sharon Roberts (and the mums), and 6 willing dads
were waiters for the evening!
Head Coach Neil Morgan led the speeches, recounting events and tales from the season.
Two awards were then presented, the first to Ceri Large – who recieved a trophy
for Honourary Member of Drybrook RFC Girls Section. Ceri was thanked for all the support
she continually gives to the girls section and Drybrook RFC.
The second award went to Kat Brain for Long Service to the Girls section, Kat now moves up
to join the Ladies Section.
Ceri presented U18’s Captain Maizie Morgan with her framed England Shirt that will be
proudly displayed in the clubhouse.
After the meal and speeches, there was a disco where all the girls and friends and family
joined in to party the night away!

It was a fantastic evening – and a big thank you goes to everyone for helping make the
first ‘End of Season Girls Ball’ such a great success.
