Drybrook cruised to a comfortable bonus point victory at lowly Painswick to maintain their promotion challenge.
Playing up the slope in the first half Drybrook quickly took control and a strong driving maul eventually led to flanker Lee Ward bundling over for a try which Tom Treherne converted.
It took 12 minutes of relentless pressure before Drybrook scored again and this time centre Luke Fisher rounded to the posts to make the conversion a formality for Treherne.
Painswick struggled to stem the tide and after 20 minutes another strong forward drive led to a simple touch down for Carl Moore and Treherne made it 21pts – nil with the conversion.
With 30 minutes gone a clash of heads resulted in Drybrook prop Nick Ovens and the Painswick hooker being side lined for treatment but the visitors were able to keep up the pressure.
Just before the break the bonus point try arrived with a pushover score for Liam Jackson after Drybrook had won a strike against the head.

Half Time: Painswick nil
Drybrook 21pts

With the contest effectively over Drybrook should have gone on to win in style but they got bogged down for long periods when the home side refused to buckle.
A deliberate knock- on prevented a certain try for winger Sam Peaper on the overlap but minutes later skipper Simon Rugman crashed over and Treherne converted.
Painswick then had their best period but could not breach the Drybrook defence and eventually the visitors broke out.
Peaper was denied a try when he was penalised for a double movement but then Moore broke the deadlock when he charged down a kick before gathering to score in the corner.
Treherne converted and then more pressure at the end resulted in a 7th try for Drybrook. This time substitute Chris Rawlings showed some great vision with an inch perfect cross field kick to winger Rorie Day who scored in the corner.
Areas of concern for Drybrook was their mal functioning lineout and some aimless kicking out of hand which gifted their opponents a lot of possession.

Unfortunately no one claimed the restart and Cryptians piled on the pressure to grap an equalising score.
It was a very even tussle for the rest of the half with the home team edging in front with a second try just before the interval.
Drybrook scrum half Mitch Baldwin nipped in for a try after only three minutes of the restart and Andy Milner’s successful conversion put his team back in the lead.
