Okehampton 17pts
Drybrook 20pts

Drybrook overturned a 17pts – 6pts first half deficit to emerge deserved victors with clinical efficiency in deepest Devon.
Playing up the notorious Okehampton slope in the first half Drybrook were quickly into their stride and went ahead with a Tom Treherne penalty after 3 minutes.
Okehampton hit straight back with a penalty of their own a minute later and then a second Treherne penalty just dipped under the posts as Drybrook hit back.
The Devon men then started to turn the screw and kept Drybrook on the back foot with a series of box kicks to the corner.
Drybrook held out very well for a period but eventually conceded a try under the posts after sustained Okehampton pressure.
Drybrook then lost second row Glenn Nott who was knocked out in a tackle and the home side began to get on top at the scrum.
With very little quality possession Drybrook were forced to run from deep but a telegraphed pass from skipper Ben Large was intercepted by the home wing who cruised in unopposed for an easy try.
Drybrook ended the half well and Treherne kicked a second penalty to close the gap.

Half Time:
Okehampton 17pts
Drybrook 6pts

Treherne gave away a needless penalty at the start of the second half when he threw the ball in an opponents face five metres from his own line. Okehampton opted for a push over opportunity from a scrummage but Drybrook held out and eventually cleared down field.
Drybrook had the chance of a try themselves from a driven lineout in the corner but were held up and to compound matters an ill advised comment to the referee led to a penalty which Okehampton gratefully accepted to clear their lines.
As the second half wore on Okehampton began to tire and Drybrook began to see a lot more of the ball.
Second row Will Greenway who was instrumental in a lot of Drybrook’s good work then gave his side some hope when he crossed for a try after a lot of pressing from the visitors.
Treherne converted and suddenly Drybrook were right back in it and they continued to dominate territory and possession particularly in open play where they were always quickest to the ball.
Drybrook butchered an overlap opportunity with 15 minutes to go but remained patient and were rewarded when flanker Sam Peaper was driven over for a try from close range and Trehene added the extras.
Drybrook easily saw out the last ten minutes despite losing Greenway to injury as they controlled possession to run out deserved winners.
For Drybrook young prop Huw Rimmer enjoyed his best game so far with Greenway, Danny Price and replacement Mitch Renton also prominent throughout.
