Drybrook Ladies 2nd XV 32pts
Drybrooks newly formed 2nds had a trip to Bath 2nds for the third round of the national cup Sunday 20th November 2pm kick off.
Drybrook had the kick off playing down hill away from the club house.
Drybrook played the first 15 minutes in Baths half then a great kick and chase by Bath found Drybrook in trouble for the first time defending there own line 10 metres out.
However a turnover ball by Drybrook and a clearance kick from skipper Stevie Liddiatt released the pressure.
Then on 19 minutes it was Drybrooks first chance of point with a penalty awarded which Roxanne Carter crossed the line and touched down to give the away side the lead.
Just moments later Drybrook was on the attack again with a hard run from Dorrie down the right flank and a pop to Stevie who unfortunately got carried into touch with only a meter to go before the line.
With the last play before half time Dorrie picked from the back of a scrum ten metres away from Baths line but touched down just short great hands across to Carla Brown as she scored in the right hand far corner of the field.
With the score at 0 – 10 everything was still to play for.
Bath kicked off the second half despite ball not travelling ten metres Bath were allowed to play on however Drybrook came out of the first ruck with the ball Kara Tucker found a space in there defence and went straight through the middle to score under the posts increasing Drybrooks lead to 0 – 15.
This opened the flood gates for Drybrook as Carla Brown and Roxanne Carter went on to score a second unconverted try each and Dorrie Morley scored with only five minutes left to play which Laura Green converted to end the scoring at 0 – 32 to Drybrook placing them into the fourth round.
