Drybrook Ladies 2nds vs Old Bristolians – National Cup

Drybrook headed down to old Bristolians for the second round of the national cup.
Drybrook 2s were playing there third game of rugby together as a team and were eager to progress in this cup campaign.
The game kicked off and new recruit Dorrie Morley was the first to score for Drybrook within just 3 minutes converting her own try to give Drybrook the lead 0 – 7.
Just three minutes later Drybrook was awarded a penalty in front of the posts 10 meters out, Dorrie took a quick tap and off loaded to skipper Stevie Liddiatt who crashed over to score the second try of the match. Dorrie converted.
On the 22nd minute it was Bristolians chance to get on the score board closing the gap 7-14.
With just five minutes left of the first half Drybrook created three really strong phases passing right to Dorrie who carried really well to score her second try of the match.

The second half kicked off and Bristolians scored twice within the first 10 minutes

converting both to give them the lead 21 – 19.
Despite Drybrooks efforts they could not break down Bristolians defence until 3 minutes before full time when Roxanne carter competed a Bristolians line out five meters from thier own line. Rox tapped down to a very quick reacting Stevie coming up the five metre channel who carried her close defender over the line to score.
As the clock ran down no further score came and Drybrook 2s progress to the next round to face Bath 2nds.

Forward of the match went to Stevie Liddiatt for having a solid game from start to finish.
Back of the match went to Laura Green for really getting stuck in tackling well.
