Disappointment for Drybrook Girls

Due to illness and injuries Drybrook U18s were up against it from the start in their 1st game of the national cup against a very strong and well drilled Winscombe team.
All credit to the 15 girls who gave their all for the 70 minutes! Drybrook girls showed grit and determination, but Winscombe were just too strong and Drybrook were defeated by 69-10.
The score line did not reflect how well Drybrook girls played!
Drybrooks scores came from tries by Saska Bowdler and Leah Teague with a conversion by Robyn Marsh.
Maddie Worgan was awarded girl of the game for outstanding tackling throughout.
Drybrook u15s travelled to Weston Hornets for their 1st cup fixture.
For the first 15 minutes Drybrook girls had the upper hand with great tackling and positional play.
Lily Mae walker was exceptional and spoiled westons game until she took a nasty knock to the face and had to go to hospital with a suspected fracture.
Drybrook girls really stepped up their game and great play by all girls continued but unfortunately Weston also found their form and eventually won the game 29- 5.
Drybrooks Amber Stamp-Dunstan and Kenzi Sheen were outstanding, and Kenzi Scored Drybrooks only try.
