Drybrook u13s Girls County Champions yet again!

For the 3rd year running Drybrook u13 girls have become County Champions. The girls travelled to Tewkesbury for the GRFU and won every single game – they beat Wyevern 25 -15, Cinderford 30-15, Berry hill, 35 -5 and Old Richians 35-10 to take the county title. The tornament try scorers were Lily Mae Walker 8, Haidee Field 6, Lyla Freeman3, Shannon Wintle 2, Amelia Clarke 2, Dionne Eaccups, Charlotte Probert, Ebony Pendery and Olivia Smeeth.
Club chairman Paul Mason said it is amazing that the young stars have won this cup 3 years in a row and are also unbeaten in all their games this season – Girls and Ladies rugby at Drybrook continues to lead the way.

Drybrook Girls u15s and u18s host Pencoed at The Mannings.
The u15s played a determined game and were winning until last play of the game when their welsh opponents snuck a try to take the win. The game ended 26-31 – drybrooks try scorers were Jas Parham 3 and Hannah Roberts, with Amber Dunstan-Stamp kicking 3 conversions.

The u18s matched Pencoed try for try in a very even game -but in the last 10 minutes the pace of Pencoed eventually saw the girls go down 32 – 52. Drybrook captain Kirsty Gwilliam bagged yet another hat trick, Robyn Marsh scored 2, and Harlie Field also scored for Drybrook, and Vic Mince kicked 1 conversion.

south-west-girls3Drybrooks Leah Teague and Emma Hughes were in action again for the South West squads. Leah Teague who in the last game scored a try from half way, was playing at 12 and helped her u15s team to a 14-12 win over the South East. Emma Hughes played at both scrum half and 11 for the 18s in a 32 – 5 win.
