This game began with two very evenly matched teams unable to break each other’s defence for 20 minutes until Crypts were penalised for failing to roll away and the subsequent penalty by Jimmy Ryder opened the scoring for Drybrook.
Old Cryptians showing good hands opened up a gap in the Drybrook defence and crossed the line and made easy work of the conversion to take the lead 3-7 on the 25 minute mark.
With 35 minutes gone Cryptians scored another try and followed up with the conversion to lead 3pts -14pts.
Just before the half time whistle Drybrook’s Will Bailey scored after some tremendous

driving work by the pack gave a good platform to allow him to squeeze over the line. Jimmy Ryder kicks the conversion to complete the first half time scoring.
The second half started once again with a long period of stalemate until
Old Cryptians conceded a penalty in front of the posts leaving a simple kick for Jimmy Ryder.
The final 10 minutes of the game proved too much for Drybrook with Cryptians showing greater fitness to run in 2 late tries to seal victory.
This was a good performance by the entire Drybrook team with man of the match going to Adam Harris (pictured middle, front fow) on an outstanding front row debut.
