Drybrook Girls Results/News – 24th January 2016

Drybrook u13s girls welcomed Berry Hill u13s to the Mannings and played a four X 10 minute game.
Throughout the game Drybrook girls made strong tackles, had great runs, as well as working brilliantly as a team in particular with their support play and off loads. Berry Hill girls also tackled well and showed dogged determination until the final whistle.
The score ended Drybrook 22 tries Berry Hill 7 tries.
Drybrooks tries were scored by Lila Freeman, Shannon Wintle 4, Hollie Bishop 2, Charlotte Probert 2, Lily Mae Walker 6, Amelia Clarke, Regan Durston 2, Ebony Pendrey 2, Dionne Eaccups, and Lauren Worgan. Drybrooks Olivia Smeeth and Megan Butler also scored tries for Berry Hill.
Girls of the Game went to Lila Freeman, Shannon Roberts and Olivia Smeeth.

Under 15s
drybrook-rfc-girls-u15s-v-Kingswood
Drybrook u15s Girls travelled to Bristol to play Kingswood in the last game of the 1st round of the RFU cup.
The girls put on a faultless display of rugby, showing strength, skill and determination, and were just too strong compared to their opponents. The game was a perfect example of real teamwork, with every girl working together as a squad.
The game ended in a phenomenal victory for Drybrook, Drybrook 101 – Kingswood 7.
Tries were scored by Leah teague 2, Jasmine Parham 3, Charlie Mae Manns 5, Hannah Roberts 3, Katie Davis 4, Maddie Ballinger, and Amber Dunstan-Stamp, with 2 conversions by Leah Teague and 1 by Charlie-Manns.

Drybrook u18s girls travel to Wales to play Pencoed U18s.

Sunday 7th February sees a Triple Treat at Drybrook – with all 3 Girls teams playing at home V Old Richians.

HUGE CONGRATULAIONS – goes to 3 of Drybrooks Girls who have been selected into the South West squads following trials held at Frome RFC.
Leah Teague was selected for the U15s squad and Shauna Bennett and Emma Hughes have both been selected for the 18s squad. Well done to all three girls – a fantastic achievement for the Girls and for Drybrook RFC girls section.
