Drybrook outleapt Ledbury in the lineout, matched them in the scrum and showed great tenacity in defending their own line in the minutes before half-time, to ensure parity at the break.
Jack Wear consistently made ground in the centre and Ollie Moore made a couple of electrifying interventions, chipping ahead and regathering only to be foiled by last ditch tap-tackles.
Ollie Henson, Will Cook and Bradley Morgan scored Drybrook’s tries (Ollie Cook, two conversions).
Ledbury’s fifth and final try against a tiring Drybrook defence gave an unfair representation to the scoreline of a highly competitive fixture.
This was a further example of the U16s improvement; they have played great rugby in the early part of the season and can look forward with optimism.
