Drybrook Girls: u13s/u15s/u18s match reports – 4th October 2015

U13s Girls

A confident Drybrook U13 Girls squad took on Cinderford for their first local derby of the season. Drybrook from the start showed strength and structure across the pitch with a mix of new and experienced players all playing their part. A final score of Drybrook 12, Cinderford 5 with try’s scored for Drybrook by Shannon Wintle (3), Lilly Walker (3), Millie Clarke (2), Dionne Eacups (1), Megan Meek (1), Olivia Smeeth (1), Hollie Bishop (1) who also scored for Cinderford! A thank you to all Drybrook girls who assisted Cinderford with subs showing great team spirit and sportsmanship.

U15s Girls

Drybrook travelled the few miles fo Cinderfird for their 2nd game of the season. Cinderford were strong from the start and Drybrook girls had to defend tirelessly throughout the game. The whole squad showed strength and determination but just couldn’t finish off their attacking play to break through for a try.
The local derby ended Cinderford 48 – Drybrook 0.
Girls of the game went to Backs; Hannah Roberts and Forwards Jenni Roddis. Paige Fletcher also had a fantastic game for Drybrook.

U18s Girls

Drybrook u18s Girls took on a well drilled, very experienced Cleve side at the Mannings. Cleve showed skill and flair from the start and Drybrook did well to contain them.
The visitors were relentless in their attack but Drybrook defended well.
Saska Bowdler, Harlie Field, Ellie Garside and Emma Hughes made endless tackles throughout but Cleve were just too strong on the day. Drybrooks Girl of the Game deservedly went to No. 10 Vic Mince who had a great game.
The game ended 67 – 0 to Cleve but the final score did not reflect how well drybrook girls played.
