Drybrook Girls u13s/15s/18s vs Tewkesbury 27th September 2015

Drybrook u13s Girls travelled to Tewkesbury to take part in a RFU run pitch up and play festival for their first games of the season. The squad of 14 girls did incredibly well, and they won 2 games, drew 1 game and lost 1 game.

Drybrook u15s hosted Tewkesbury and played three 15 minute games. Drybrook girls played fantastic rugby and showed great skill and determination, the end tally resulted in Drybrook 72 – Tewkesbury 0.
Tries were scored by Jasmine Parham 2, Hannah Roberts 2, Leah Teague 2, Lydia Handley 2, Layla

Ballinger, Molly Lancett, Maddi Ballinger and Amber Stamp-Dunstan. Amber also kicked 1 conversion and Leah Teague kicked 5. Girls of the Game went to Amber and Leah.

The u18s girls played Tewkesbury in the 1st leg of the RFU cup at Drybrook. Drybrook started hesitantly and allowed tewkesbury to take an early lead with a penalty kick. The girls settled down to then put on a great display for the large crowd of supporters. Emma Hughes out ran the opposition and scored the opening try for Drybrook, the second try was powered over 

the line from No.8 Kirsty Gwilliam. Shauna Bennett then ran in 3 further very impressive tries and converted each try. Another try from a great run in by Saska Bowdler secured a final score of Drybrook 36 Tewkesbury 3. Scrum half Emma Hughes was deservedly awarded girl of the game for Drybrook.
