With three league matches left to play, the last home game of the season and a battle for the top spot Drybrook ladies who have been on quite a journey were facing Gordano Ladies in a double header. The results would stand as a home and away score so Drybrook were very keen indeed to come away with a win. Drybrook Ladies have not lost a home match this season and were not prepared to start now.

The game was kicked off by Gordano playing towards the clubhouse with no wind the conditions were perfect for a good hard game of rugby.
Drybrook forwards worked hard to provide a good platform after several phases Kat Brain got the ball out along the backs an Ellie Underwood well timed off load lead to Jess Hunt breaking the line and scoring the first try in just under 4 minutes. Ellie underwood converted to make the score 7 – 0 to Drybrook.
Despite the early try Gordano worked very hard indeed and refused to give up. Drybrooks Chaise Beard stole a loose ball from a line out and forwards Stevie Liddiatt, Shelly Bourne, Lucie Smith, Roxanne Carter and Julie Ann Norbury all worked hard to recycle the ball and once again it was time for the backs to move the ball wide. to score under the posts. Ellie Underwood converted to make the score 14 – 0 to Drybrook.
After 16 minutes it was time for Ellie Underwood to score her first try of the game with the convention it made the score 21 – 0. On the 19th minute Ellie Underwood crossed the line again and yet again added the the conversion to make the score 28 – 0.
Drybrook fullback Jude Arslan broke through the middle of the Gordano line to score a 50 metre try and with Ellie Underwoods conversion the score was now 35 – 0.
The last play of the first half saw Ellie Underwood break the Gordano defence to score, once again adding the conversion making the half time score 42 – 0.
Drybrook kicked of the second half, within 1 minute Judith Arslan added another try to the score board making the lead 47 – 0.
Gordano despite the score were not ready to give up, and a few Drybrook errors and bad discipline lead to a tap and go penalty for Gordano which they passed wide and scored in the corner making the score 47 – 5.
Ellie Underwood answered back with a further two try’s and added the conversions to both the

first on the 12th minute and the second on the 18th minute which made the score 61 – 5.
Kara Tucker got here name on the score sheet with two try’s one on the 26th minute and the second on the 30th minute. Ellie converted both to make the score 75 – 5.
Drybrook had made all the changes they were allowed to make and the team looked fresh and as strong as ever.
This very well drilled side with so many of there players who were new to rugby last season was proving they had so much strength in depth.
Jess hunt crossed the line on the 34th minute claiming her second try of the day. With no conversion the score was now 80 – 5.
Chanise Beard scored on the last play of the game to make the final score 87 – 5 also becoming the only forward to score.
