Club supporters Roy and Margaret Elton recently came across Margaret’s late father’s Combination Cup Winner’s Medal which has lain undiscovered in a drawer for many years.
Frank Jordan Baldwin was part of the first ever Drybrook team to win the Forest of Dean Combination Cup way back in the 1929/30 season.
In that season they overcame the Eastern United Colliery team in the final by 3pts (one try) to nil.
Each player was presented with a silver medal with their name inscribed on the back at a ceremony held later in the year.
Roy and Margaret have donated the medal for permanent display in the Drybrook club house.
