Drybrook, having lost their previous four encounters with Wells, started this game with a bang. Five minutes of early forward pressure took Drybrook into the Wells 22 where captain Ben Large made a clean break, drew the defence and passed to Jack Simmons who scored in the corner.
Drybrook continued to pressure Wells but concede two penalties to give Wells the lead.
Near the end of the half, Drybrook stole a Wells lineout, Mitch Baldwin kicked high into the Wells half and when the fullback failed to deal with it, Large pounced on the ball and sprinted 30 metres to touch down under the posts. Tom Treherne slotted the conversion.

Half time:
Wells 6pts
Drybrook 12pts

Wells came out with all guns blazing after the break and following some poor Drybrook defence, scored a well worked try, the conversion allowing the home side to regain the lead.
Drybrook were sparked into life and following some intense pressure from the forwards, Nyall Gibbons scored in the corner. Treherne completed the score with his conversion.
Drybrook continued to dominate and two minutes later, Jack Simmons gave Mitch Baldwin a scoring pass. Treherne again converted. As Drybrook continued to attack the Wells number 14 was yellow carded for an offside offence. Following this, the dominant Drybrook pack drove Wells back and Mitch Bourne scored the pushover try.
25 minutes into the half, Mitch Hale replaced the injured Danny Price and Dean Jelf came on for Craig Clarke. Temporarily unsettled Drybrook conceded another try to Wells who had continued to throw everything into the game.
A Mitch Bourne injury forced Drybrook to reshuffle, Sam peaper to back row and Chris Rawlings coming on to the wing. Two minutes before full time, a minor altercation led to Dean Jelf and the Wells number 4 being yellow carded.
Both sides contributed to what was a hard fought but, entertaining game.
Captain Ben Large was the well deserved man of the match for Drybrook.
