19th October 2014 – u13s GRFU Festival and u18s first league fixtures

The U13s girls played in a GRFU festival at Old Richians – the girls played in 3 games against Bath, Kingswood, and Old Richians – and won all 3 games.

The girls really enjoyed the day which provided them with training, coaching and game time all led by RFU coaches.
The u13s next game is sunday 27th October away to Kingswood.

The u18s girls played their first league fixtures of the season at Cirencester RFC, in a round robin versus Tewkesbury and Wyevern Warriors.
Drybrook played against Wyevern in the first game, playing 10 a side to match the oppositions numbers – the girls played brilliant rugby and won the game 29 -7. Tries scored by Mollie Osbourne 2, Beth Lawrence 2 and Jade Kibble, with Maizie Morgan kicking 2 conversions.
The second game against Tewkesbury was a 15 a side game and Drybrooks girls were up against it
as they had just played their 10 a side game, and Tewkesbury had a big set of forwards. Drybrook had only 4 of their usual forwards due to injury and availability and girls had to play out of position. Despite this, the girls did brilliantly, and gave the opponents a great game, and were unlucky to eventually lose 22-14. Drybrooks tries were scored by Mollie Osborne and Jade Kibble, Maizie Morgan converted both tries.
The next u18s league fixture is at Drybrook on 16 November ko 1.30, please come along and support the girls.
