After a longer than expected two hour bus journey, Drybrook Ladies eventually arrived at the Devizes ground leaving themselves only 15 minutes to warm up.
The match began slowly with both sides making mistakes and missing opportunities to open the scoring.
Finally at 12 minutes the first score arrived when Ellie Underwood drove over the line and Roxanne Carter touched the ball down to give Drybrook a 5 -0 lead. From wide out on the right Ellie Underwood failed to make the conversion.
After 25 minutes the next score went to Devizes. Drybrook were penalised for hands in the ruck and the Devizes kicker made no mistake with the kick 15 yards out in front of the posts. On the half hour mark Kat Brain managed to burst her way through to score Drybrook’s second try of the match. Once again the conversion from wide out was missed.

The second half started with more errors with Drybrook’s kick off being knocked on by Devizes. Once again both sides were guilty of errors but Drybrook showed more control.
Seven minutes into the half Drybrook strung a series of passes together and Ellie Underwood scored the third try for Drybrook. The kicking game was not going well for Drybrook as they missed another conversion attempt. This time however disruptive noise from the Devizes supporters lead to the referee asking them to be quite.
Devizes started to get a little frustrated and 20 minutes into the half “fisticuffs” broke out. This resulted in the Devizes’ number 7 and

Drybrook’s Ellie Underwood spending 10minutes in the bin to cool down.
Right on full time the Birthday girl of the day Micha Harris drove over for Drybrooks fourth and final try of the game. The conversion was missed once more and the match finished Devizes 3pts, Drybrook 20pts.

New to the league, Drybrook Ladies have now won three out of four games and are currently second in the table.
