Girlts U15s and u18s at Yatton 5th October 2014

Last weekend saw drybrook u15s and u18s travel to Yatton for their 1st games of the season.

With both drybrook teams having new players move up from the younger age group and new girls joining – the games were going to be viewed as trial games to see the team structure and positions.

The u15s played some great rugby against a strong yatton side, and the scoreline of 36 – 5 to Yatton did not relect how well drybrook played.

There were many positives to take away, and it was good to see the new girls get stuck in and hold their own.

Drybrook’s try was scored by Katie Jeffery, who had a fantastic game. Hannah Roberts, Shauna Bennett and Chloe Wakefield also had strong good games.

The U18s held their own in what was a tough but well matched game, strong scrums and good teamwork kept the pressure on the Yatton side all the time.

Yatton made some fast breaks and had some luck on their side and ended the winners 24-0.

Drybrook were unlucky to lose and the scoreline did not reflect how close the game was.

Robyn Hancock, Jade Kibble and Brittany Morgan did well for Drybrook.
