Berry Hill U13’s v Drybrook U13’s – Sunday 14th October 2012

Berry Hill U13's 35pts - Drybrook U13's 19pts

Drybrook under-13s made the short trip to Berry Hill on Sunday and fought back bravely after Berry Hill under-13s raced into the lead with three unanswered, converted tries. Berry Hill’s tries came as the result of powerful driving play from their well-organised pack.

However, Drybrook were able to increase their intensity and pressurised their opponents to staunch the flow of points leading up to half time.

Drybrook’s pack showed great commitment in the tackle and breakdown, preventing Berry Hill from building momentum, with Bailey Watts, Bradley Morgan and OJ Morse prominent.

After the interval, Drybrook fought back with tries from Ollie Cook and Man-of-the-Match Brad Priest, whose speed and power combined with a steely look of determination to help him over for two tries.

Berry Hill secured their victory with two more converted tries, running out winners by 35pts–19pts.

Special mentions go to Archie Wilson, Tom Weiss, Kyran Worgan and Leon Duberley, who all tasted action in a Drybrook shirt for the first time.
After the game, Drybrook fans enjoyed Berry Hill hospitality and recounted a promising performance against experienced opponents that bodes well for the rest of the season.
