Drybrook Ladies entertained Ivel Barbarians in their first ever South West League fixture and claimed the spoils with a 15pts to 12pts victory.
Drybrook started brightly and took the lead after 3 minutes through a Ellie Underwood penalty.
There was no further score until the 19th minute when Drybrook outside half Jessica Hunt crossed the try line wide out. The difficult conversion was missed.
Both teams then struggled for superiority but the rest of the half remained pointless.

Ivel Barbarians began the second half on the front foot and got their first points on the board

Ivel captain Alice Hardine made no mistake with the conversion.
Half way through the half Ivel Barbarians took the lead when centre Joe Norton bursy through to score. The conversion was missed.
With 15 minutes left on the clock Drybrook scored once more when Ellie Underwood showed her power with a 30 metre sprint to cross the line. Ellie then made no mistake with the conversion to give Drybrook a 3pt cushion as the clock ran down.
The Barbarians looked as though the would grab

the lead once more when their winger broke clear of the Drybrook defence but she was stopped just short of the line by player of the match, scrum half Kat Brain.
