Pedal-a-ton a day Cheque Presentation Ceremony

Sunday 14th September saw a very large number of people in the clubhouse at lunch time to witness the official cheque presentation and video diary from the sponsored bike ride.

Held to raise money for the purchase of new gym equipment the intrepid riders + their magnificent support team raised the incredible sum of £1835.

Held over a particularly wet weekend in late August the gruelling schedule around the Dorset coast proved a real test for the 11 riders who took part.

Particularly deserving of a mention were skipper Ben Large whose logistical skills were key to making sure the ride took place with minimal problems and support staff members Emily Mattock and Emily Wilson who were presented with bouquets.

Neil Morgan’s lively commentary provided the perfect back drop to the film diary which included rare footage of new Drybrook supporter Poppy the dog.

For the record, the 11 riders were; Ben Large, Sam Peaper, Dean Large, Luke Roberts, Mitch Baldwin, Adam Swordy, Rick Cottrell, Tom Treherne, Neil Morgan, Danny Price and Ceri Large.

Ubiquitous Chairman Paul Mason was on hand to receive the cheque from Ben Large.
