FOD Combination Junior Cup First Round Replay – 16th April 2014

Westbury-on-Severn 1st XV 7pts
Drybrook United 43pts

Drybrook United won this replayed match in stylish fashion on a bone hard pitch which suited their open handling game.
The big Westbury pack provided Drybrook with plenty of problems early on but once things had settled down Andy Milner put the visitors ahead with a penalty.
Drybrook were held up over the line on 25 minutes but just after scrum half Mitch Baldwin made a break from a line out to score the first try.
Milner converted and a few minutes later centre Aiden Price cut a fine angle to cross for Drybrook’s second try.

Just before the interval a two try salvo virtually made the game safe for Drybrook. The first came from man of the match Mitch Hale who rounded off a good handling move to score near the posts.
The next try came from the strong running Ben Large who touched down in the corner and Milner converted both to give Drybrook a healthy 29pts – nil lead at the break.
Westbury came more into the game in the second half and there was no further scoring for 20 minutes until Tom Treherne nipped in for a try from a tap penalty.
Milner converted but Westbury stormed back with a pushover try after making a mess of the Drybrook scrum.

Towards the end of the game replacement Mitch Browning broke through several tackles to complete the try scoring and Milner was again successful with the conversion.
