Already one up following victory at home in November, Drybrook won the series against BerryHill following this rare nil – nil draw.
The pitch was marked out for both soccer and rugby which confused both sets of players so it was just as well that John “Eggy” Evans was appointed as match referee. Evans honoured the occasion by turning up in the full regalia of the Five Acres Bog Snorkelling Club and treated both teams to a knowledgeable display.

Playing up the slight slope and against the wind Drybrook did well and were held up over the home line once but could not break through.
It was much the same in the second half with Drybrook again going close but in the end a draw was a good result for both teams.
